Mun Ik Hwan was a standing advisor at National Democratic association.
He was invited to visit in North Korea in 1989, and he went there without government permission. He met Kim Il Sung who was a leader of North Korea. It became big problem in South Korea as it was a first semi- open meeting after Korean has divided in 1953.
