Looking around Seoul

There are a lot of things to see in Seoul.   Here¡¯s a guide to who you'll find, where. Most popular with the young is the area around Gangnam Station, also called Generation N's paradise due to all the cafe, bars, and movie theatres.

Namdaemun Market has a 580-year history of dealing with the public, it is   Korea¡¯s biggest traditional market. The most fashionable district, and known as the shopping Mecca, is Myeong-dong.

The district with many company headquarters, major hotels and The American Embassy, called the Heart of Seoul is the Jung-no area. Well know as Korea¡¯s Beverly Hills, Apgujeong is also seen as another fashionable area.

Known as America in Seoul, and 'Tourist Central, Itaewon is probably the most popular destination with foreigners. A famous clothing market, Dongdaemun Market, has some of the best prices around.

Daehangno plays host to more than thirty little theatres, and is associated
with Seoul's performing artists.
