Art Gallery Circulation Buses Attract Tourists' Attention to Local Exhibitions

It is a good idea to visit an art gallery to get a comprehensive view of modern arts.   Although many of Korea's representative art galleries are gathered in Insa-dong and Pyeongchang-dong, visiting them all one by one is not an easy thing to do.   Why don't you use one of the art gallery circulation buses to get you there?

The buses have been running since September, 1998 and have recently become popular among tourists because of their convenience.   Gallery buses run every hour from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The buses start at Pyeongchang-dong Gana Art Center and finish the trip at Insa Art Center.   The tour bus makes follows a course in the shape of the number eight as it circulates around the art galleries in Insa-dong and Pyeongchanog-dong.

You can board a bus on the hour in front of Pyeongchang-dong Gana Art Center. From there it takes 30 minutes to get to Insa Art Center. You can also board a bus to Seonggok, Hoam, and Rodin art galleries in front of Insa Art Center on the half hour, or catch a bus to Pyeongchang-dong Gana Art Center at 10 minutes past the hour.

The transportation fee is 1000 won.   Once you have paid the fee, you can use this bus all day.   You will also get a discount when entering the art galleries.   Pyeongchang-dong Gana Art Center gives a 10% discount, Hoam Art Gallery, Rodin Art Gallery, and Hwangi Art Galleries give a 50% discount, and   Seonggok Art Gallery gives a 20% discount.   The buses run on holidays also, but they run every two hours on Monday since most art galleries are closed on Monday.
