Geonguk University and the surrounding area is renowned for its discount clothes stores and fine food shops. Conveniently situated between subway lines 2 and 7, many students from the surrounding colleges and universities enjoy spending time here.
The entertainment quarter near Geonguk University is divided into north and south by the Geonguk subway station. The northern side, towards Sejong University, is aimed towards the younger generation, and has a number of businesses such as restaurants, bars, cosmetic stores and clothes stores.
The southern side, however, boasts a huge clothes market - one of the biggest in fact, which can be compared to the stores at Munjeong-dong and Mok-dong.
