Kim, Choi & Lim (formerly known as Samjong International) was founded in June 1991 through the joint efforts of a former President of the Korean Bar Association, a former Chief Prosecutor of the Seoul High Prosecutors¡¯Office, and other lawyers who were highly successful and respected in their respective law practices but wished to join together to provide more efficient and effective legal services to their clients.

Kim, Choi & Lim is one of the fastest growing law firms in Korea, and since its formation in 1991, it has quickly become a major force in the Korean legal industry. It boasts a long and impressive list of clients, both domestic and foreign, who have come to appreciate the high quality legal services that have come to be synonymous with Kim, Choi & Lim.

In early 1996, Kim, Choi & Lim merged with Samjong Law & Patent Office, a firm renowned for its expertise and capability in the fields of patents, trademarks, copyrights and other intellectual property rights.

Through this merger, Kim, Choi & Lim has become even better positioned to provide a complete range of services to its clients. In 1997, a highly distinguished and respected former high-level judge joined Kim, Choi & Lim as one of its two representative lawyers. This addition substantially strengthened Kim, Choi & Lim¡¯s litigation department.

Beginning in January 2000, we changed our name from Samjong International to Kim, Choi & Lim to welcome the advent of the new millennium as well as to reinforce our resolve to serve our clients with greater care and enthusiasm.
