KGCCI
 
The Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry began operations in Seoul in 1981. The chamber promotes economic relations between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Korea. With the steady increase in bilateral trade between Korea and Germany over the past several decades, the activities of the KGCCI and the demand for its   professional services has been increased accordingly.

Today, the KGCCI has more than 350 member-companies covering all types of businesses and all fields of industry and is a well recognized service provider for the Korean and German business community in Korea and abroad.
The main objective of the KGCCI is to promote and develop trade relations between Korea and Germany.

Therefore the chamber provides information, advice, market studies and reports acts as an agent for the cultivation and further development of business links between German and Korean firms paves the way for and fosters contacts between interested business concerns in both countries represents the economic interests of German and Korean businessmen in dealings with government departments.

Public authorities and other organizations in both countries collects and distributes information on economic conditions in Germany and Korea and reports on industrial and commercial developments in the form of circulars, annual reports, news sheets etc. organizes press conferences, information seminars, symposia and discussions and participates in such events provided.

They are compatible with the goals of the chamber furnishes information on sales, procurement and investment possibilities in both countries mediates any disputes between those involved in bilateral trade pursues any other lawful activity that serves the purpose of the chamber. Activities are carried out in close cooperation with the organizations and authorities of both countries concerned with the work of chambers.

The Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry is recognized by the German Association of Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHT) as an official German Chamber of Commerce and Industry abroad. The DIHT is the umbrella organization of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Germany. This ensures close cooperation between the KGCCI and its German counterparts.
