Yongpyeong Resort
 

Yongpyong Resort, since its opening in 1975 with a view to creating "harmony between people and nature" as the first ski resort in this country, is equipped with the largest facilities located on the mountains, 700 to 1,450 meters above the see level, on a site of 5.2 million pyongs. These facilities include 27 ski slopes, 18 lifts and a gondola, indoor skating stadium, 11.25 km-long cross country

Having held International Alpine Ski Games every year since 1991, Yongpyong resort successfully conducted 2 World Cup Alpine Ski Games in 1998 and in 2000 and the 4th Winter Asian Games in 1999.
