Established in 1961, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts has cultivated the barren soil of culture in Korea, and for the past 40 years, it has strived for the new buds to sprout. It is at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, where the world's famous artists quenched the thirst of performance culture in Korea, and where the proud artists of Korea have first seen the light of day.
Located in the Gwanghwamun district, the heart of Seoul, the venue acts as a tranquil resting place from the dreary urban streets with its grandeur appearance and outstanding night view. Annually, millions of people attend the various performances held in the Grand Theater and the Little Theater.
'Ttrag Festival' held at the Fountain Plaza, during Spring and Autumn, not only attracts businessmen during their lunch break, but also is loved by audiences who come a long way to watch the performance. Also, the Convention Center, designed to hold various performances and events, has been acclaimed for its traditional performances held throughout the year.
