Shigol Saenghwal (Country Life) Vegetarian Buffet

Choosing a vegetarian diet has become quite common in many countries around the world, and here in Korea there are many excellent restaurants that cater to vegetarians.

The Country Life Buffet, or Shigol Saenghwal in Korean, serves a total of 35 vegetable dishes.    Non-vegetarian food such as meat, fish, and fowl are not served in that restaurant.   In fact, the chef at Country Life doesn't even use animal fat, eggs, or milk.   Neither does he use chemical flavors, or black pepper.

For W7, 000 per person you can enjoy as much of the 100% natural vegetable dishes as you like.   Some of the menu items include brown rice, seaweed soup, winter squash porridge, sweet potato pie, various tofu dishes, brown bread, and corn bread, as well as various vegetables like kimchi, ggakdugi, and salad.

All of the dishes at Country Life are fresh and tasty.   High protein dishes are made from peanuts, onions, and walnuts.   A special tofu dish is prepared with mushrooms and broccoli.   The salad dressings, strawberry jam and peanut butter are made directly by the chef and should not even be compared with commercial varieties.   In the corner of the restaurant is a small health food store, where chemical free cereals, nuts, and 100 % pure juice are sold .

Arrival on time is important because the restaurant receives general customers only from 11.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
