Techno Mart - A City Within A City

Techno Mart is the biggest ultra-modern multiplex in Korea. Located next to Gangbyeon station subway line 2, it mainly consists of a huge electronic market with over 2,000 related stores on each floor. Combine this with a large shopping mall, and you will find no shortage of stores to choose from.

The second floor of Techno Mart houses a wide variety of electrical home appliance goods, whilst the third floor is home to Korean-branded electrical home appliances and music appliances.   The fourth floor is dedicated to imported electrical goods.   Appliances related to IT and computer equipment are located on the sixth floor, and the seventh floor specializes in computers.   Finally, the eighth floor has music stores, selling a selection of CD's and tapes.

The DMZ game park on the first floor is the biggest arcade in Korea, and is divided into six different parts by theme. With approximately 300 simulation games, video games, dance games, slot machines and virtual reality games, about 20,000 people pay DMZ a visit every day.

Not only does Techno Mart have the largest arcade in Korea, it also has one of the biggest multiplex movie theaters on the 10th floor, called CGV 11.   It has 11 screens and approximately 2,000 seats.   All seats have a cup holder, and some of the seats even have a lifting arm rest for couples!   Because of its size, dolby stereo surround system, comfortable seats and spacious lobby, it's not surprising that around 2,000,000 customers are attracted to the movie theater every year.

The underground floors of Techno Mart are filled with clothes, shoes, accessories, cosmetic stores and a food court. In addition to this, there are grocery markets, restaurants and even a health club. On the second underground floor there is a discount market called Magnet, which basically sells everything from food to sports equipment.

Techno Mart has a multi-purpose connecting subway.   Therefore, many people use this place as a meeting spot.   It has many places of interest, and about 200 companies are placed between the 15th and 39th floors. Techno Mart is connected with Gangbyeon station, subway line 2. 22 public buses also regularly pass by, including airport buses which stop in front of the building, making Techno Mart a convenient place to visit.
