Seoul Train Station - The Gateway to Seoul |
The construction of Seoul Train Station began in 1920, and the station was completed five years later. Connecting Seoul with the rest of the cities in Korea, the station's two-story red brick building was designed by a German constructor, CK Larande.
With 12 platforms, numerous ticket offices, a food court, a general information center and internet services on offer, it's easy to believe that several hundred thousand people pass through Seoul Station daily. In the information hall you can get free internet access and charge your cell-phone battery.
There's also a play room for children and a business room with a fax machine, photocopier, printer and scanner. The Railroad Museum, which provides a full history of the Korean Railroad, is open every day except for Mondays.
