The Bulgaris descend from an ancient family of Greek silversmiths whose activity began in the small village of Epirus, where Sotirio, the founder of the family, made precious objects in silver.
In mid-19th century, Sotirio emigrated to Italy where in 1884 he opened his first shop in via Sistina in Rome.
Bvgari¡¯s success is largely due to an understanding that the evolution of style must follow changes in times, tastes and hobbits.

The perfume division of the Bvlgari group was founded in Neuchatel Switzerland in February 1993, with offices dedicated to product development making and sales
In January 1996 a division dedicated to production and product assembling was added.
Bvgaris founded the shop in Korea in 1999. Home designs and other Bvgaris products sold other selected department stores (Galleria, Hyundae, Lotte) in Korea.
