Seoul, the City of the World and the Arena for World Cup 2002,

Since the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games, Seoul, Korea's capital and largest city, will again attract spectators from all over the world by hosting the World Cup 2002. Today, Seoul is putting all its energy at successfully hosting the World Cup.
The SangAm stadium is the largest soccer stadium in Asia, and it is currently being built at Mapo-gu, Seoul. The construction will be completed in December, 2001 as a splendid figure with a seating capacity of 64,677. A stunning architectural design recalls a combination of traditional Korean kites and octagonal serving trays. It is a World Cup stadium and will be a great tourist site as well.

Seoul World Cup Stadium will be huge and beautiful with grand view of night lights once it's construction is completed. There will be decorated with displays of data of the history of World Cup and souvenir shops on the second floor below the main seats.

And the size of the open park surrounding the stadium will be 13,000 pyung, and it will be decorated as a place where people can experience Korean traditional culture and nature. Also the highest fountain in the world, 172m in height, will be completed in October, 2001.

Seoul World Cup Stadium with enthusiasm of soccer will attract the visitors of Seoul even more with great tourism surrounding the stadium.
