This beach is located near Haeundae Beach in Busan. It is open every year from 1st July to 31st August since 1965. The entire beach was opened to visitors in 1993 as the western white sand area was previously off limits to the general public for security reasons.
Songjeong Beach has a total area of 40,000 square meters (2km long and 50m wide) and can accommodate up to 144,000 visitors.   It is thoroughly enjoyed by tourists as the water is clear on white sand. Visitors also enjoy the fresh fish caught daily.
