| Jeollanamdo Muan-Gun, A Lotus Festival |
| The Muan Lotus Festival is held at Muan Oesan, the largest lotus area in Korea covering over 100 thousand pyong. Lotus grows on the surface of mud lakes, and their appearance alone takes on an elegant and transcendental state. |

Harmony in Nature and Humanity is the slogan of the festival, which starts from 15th August and runs to 18th August.
The yearly festival was selected by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism as a premier festival for its splendid lotus arrangements, Buddhist and Youngsan rituals, and the parade of lotus lanterns.
