Gyungju, Mt. Namsan

Namsan (468m) is located south of the city in the Gyungju area where the capital city of the Silla dynasty was situated (BC 57 ~ AD 935).
Not only is this area beautiful, but it is also a mountain strewn with royal tombs, pagodas, carved rock figures, pavilions and the remains of old fortresses, temples and the palace. Gyungju is a museum in and of itself.

One of the most rewarding areas to explore and within easy reach of Gyeongju is Namsan. There are hundreds of paths alongside streams, which you can view and refresh yourself in while hiking to the top.
