A musical story is about the Vietnam War and dealing with the tragic love between a Vietcong spy and a Korean soldier, the musical stages at the National Theater of Korea from 7th September until Sept. 29

"Blue Saigon" tells the love story between sergeant Kim, a Korean soldier dispatched to the Vietnam War, and a female Vietcong spy named Huen, who works undercover as a bar dancer to gather secrets from American soldiers.
Kim saves Huen from being murdered and they later fall in love and bear a child. Meanwhile, Kim's military unit is ordered to attack Vietcong headquarters and a battle erupts. Most of the Korean soldiers are killed, and Kim is captured and tortured by Makdeueong, Huen's brother.
