Your story has forced me to compare the similarities of my own unpleasant relationship with a girl from Seoul.
We met in Melbourne, Australia and started dating a few days after we met. I am Chinese and she's Korean. Everything wasn't smooth-running right from the start as her father was really against the relationship. But despite that we had the best times of our lives and have even promised to be together until the end. However when she went back home after 6 months since we met, things began to change rapidly. All the sudden she doesn't want to listen to my phonecalls anymore. Then I tried emailing her. I only got through her as I called early in the morning (as I knew that people would answer their mobile phones without checking for caller ID when they're half asleep). She told me that her father had problems with our relationship. Then she told me not to call or e-mail her again. She even blocked me from both of her e-mail accounts! Let me ask you.. Isn't that a sudden end? I had so much to say and things to discuss but alas, no chance were given. So I am just wondering whether this kind on irresponsible action is common with Koreans who tend to just run away from responsibilities?
By the way, she's a student of Yonsei University. |
